TODAYS

You don’t need to walk alone.

Make yourself available

10 Now there was a believer in Damascus named Ananias. The Lord spoke to him in a vision, calling, “Ananias!” “Yes, Lord!” he replied. (Acts 9:10, NLT)

Shalom dearest readers of TODAYS!

One common pattern I discovered with regards to divine appointment throughout the biblical times is, when a human agent made himself or herself available, God will call them and use them. Could you think of one example?

When God found you a willing vessel, He will call you into a partnership with Himself. That is the most exciting time, and wonderful things would soon take place. And when you remain faithful in this partnership, He will exalt your name and allow you to leave a legacy for your generation and generations to come.

My grandparents were a classic example. Both of them responded to the call of God and immigrated from mainland China to Malaya (during the late 1930s). Both of them were lay ministers. Grandpa worked as an insurance agent. He worked hard and donated 70 to 80 percent of his incomes to build churches and to feed the community. Grandma was a fiery preacher. She led many people to the Lord.

Today, the church building still stands in the place named Mantin. The congregation continues their legacy. It’s an inspiring story of faith to me.

TODAYS Ministry is a charity organisation. We believe in sowing, and we have been and still are sowing into the lives of thousands.

Partner with us and your donation, large or small, will help reach many more who are struggling in this journey of life.

I’m thankful to God because He chose me to carry on the legacy of my grandparents. Even though I’ve never met them, hearing their stories through my dad is inspiring and heroic!

As God called Ananias to reach out to the most fearsome Saul and made a disciple out of him, God could use you too. So, make yourself available, and God will use you in His appointed time. Peace!

Scripture reading: Acts 9:10-16

Let’s pray:

God, make my life a prayer to You. I want to do what You will me to as long as I can be with You. And be in partnership with You. I want to be in that plan to serve You and Your people. Use me as I learn to make myself available for You. Amen!
