Uncover my eyes so that I may see the miraculous things in your teachings. (Psalm 119:18, GW)
When the multitude followed Jesus, they eagerly sought after miracles, signs and wonders. These beautiful and amazing manifestations such as healing the sick, opening blinded eyes, restoring deaf ears, casting out demons among the outcast etc., caught their attention.
Today, many are still running after such signs, wonders and miracles. Such hunger and curiosity is a spiritual desire, and there is a place in a specific moment of life where God wills us to do. He places such longing in us. Yet, there is another aspect where God may be more pleased, and that is when we search deeper and engage more in His teachings. Indeed, there are more relevant and beautiful things hidden in His Word. The good news is, all these miraculous things in the Word could do in-depth works within us, as compared to the external manifestation of His glory and power.
How is it so?
One of the reasons is, the teachings of God’s Word penetrates our souls, and they take root in our mind. Here in human’s mind is one of the darkest places where ideas and concepts, belief system governs the entire body; wills and value system. When our eyes begin to see the miraculous things in God’s Word, a transformational process begins. The result is far beyond imagination!

Let us pray:
Dearest Holy Spirit, please open my eyes so that I may see the miraculous things in Your teachings. May my mind be renewed, and my profound belief system receives restoration in the truth of Your words. I speak transformation over my body, soul and spirit. I am a living proof that God exists and Jesus is alive! In Jesus’ name. Amen!
