Indeed, you are familiar with the lyrics. The psalmist penned it down by saying when you suffer distress and are in a crisis moment. You couldn't find a way out, who would you call? In the real world, you can't call Ghostbusters simply because they don't exist. Yet as children of the Almighty God, you can cry to Father God. It is a guarantee that He will listen to your prayers.
In desperation, one of the best things to do is to bring every troubling issue in prayer to God. Rest assured the Holy Spirit is there with you. He is for you, and He is there to comfort you. Although physically, you may not feel His presence or comfort and love, I want to encourage you to have childlike faith, place your trust in the truth of God's word. In due time, your troubles would unimaginably be taken care of by God or His agent.
When I decided to move my family from Malaysia to Australia, I didn't have any means to survive in a foreign country. I faced financial uncertainties. I have to manage anxieties and challenging matters to keep my family going. Making things worse, I couldn't secure a job because I am alien in the eyes of local businesses. What could I do? Who do I call?
God!
He never once failed to answer my prayers. His supplies and resources always came in perfect timing. God worked and are still working in most mysterious ways. Frankly, I would not have a single clue what my future was going to be like, and yet I have confidence in Him. I know deep down that God is with me, and He will never abandon me. So, bring your troubles to the Lord; learn to cry and reach out to Him. He will listen and unexpectedly answer your prayers.
Let us pray:
Dear God, thank You for faithfully standing by my side. When you are with me, I can find rest even in a troubling time. When distressing matters confront me, deep within I know, You are watching over me. I have a deep sense of security, and when I cry in prayers, You will reach out to me. I am thankful to You, and forever grateful because You chose to adopt me as Your child. I am deeply indebted to You. Love You, always.
