For the Lord will remove his hand of judgment and will disperse the armies of your enemy. And the Lord himself, the King of Israel, will live among you! At last, your troubles will be over, and you will never again fear disaster. (Zephaniah 3:15, NLT)
What is it like when the King of kings; the Lord of lords live among us? The outcome and effect of His presence would be like heaven on earth. God’s people will be the beneficiary because as citizens of His kingdom, we would receive citizens’ rights, privileges and protection.
When God lives among us, He will remove His hand of judgement from righteous people. God will also scatter our enemy. When our enemies are dispersed, they have no more power because they could not remain in unity. Even among themselves, they will have disagreement, conflicts and infighting. There is no need for us to engage in combat because our enemies are busy fighting each other.
When God lives among us, the Kingdom of Heaven is now in our realm. It is like having a force shield surrounding us on an individual level, our family, our cities and nation. With this force shield, no troubles–both natural and supernatural forces and attacks can penetrate our zone. Therefore, peace on earth and joy forever. Why then should we live in fear?
God’s people will be the beneficiary because as citizens of His kingdom, we would receive citizens’ rights, privileges and protection.
Let us pray:
Dear God, I long for You to live among us. I want to invite You into my life, my home, city and country. I pray that my government could acknowledge You as their King and God, Lord and Saviour. I pray that their eyes would see Your salvation. When my country and fellow citizens receive a revelation of who You are, everything will take a turn–for the better. Thank You for listening to my humble prayer. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen!
