Surrounding Yourself with Positive Influences

It is important to surround ourselves with positive influences in life. People who take responsibility for their actions, learn from their mistakes, and seek knowledge, understanding and wisdom are essential for personal growth and development. On the other hand, those who do not take responsibility for their lives, ignore mistakes, and lack wisdom and knowledge can hold us back and hinder our growth.

The Bible speaks of the importance of surrounding ourselves with wise and responsible people. In Proverbs 13:20, it says, “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.” This verse reminds us that the company we keep has a significant impact on our lives and the choices we make. When we associate with wise people, we learn from their wisdom and become wise ourselves.

However, when we associate with fools, we suffer harm. Fools are those who do not take responsibility for their lives, ignore their mistakes, and lack wisdom and knowledge. They are a burden to themselves and to those around them. Proverbs 26:9 says, “Like a thorn bush in a drunkard’s hand is a proverb in the mouth of a fool.” This verse warns us that fools are dangerous and can cause harm to themselves and others.

In addition, we should not bother giving aid to the lazy. The Bible speaks against laziness and encourages hard work. In Proverbs 10:4, it says, “Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.” This verse teaches us that laziness leads to poverty, and hard work leads to wealth. By helping the lazy, we encourage them to continue in their ways and do nothing to improve their lives.

Instead, we should encourage and support those who are working hard to better themselves and their lives. The Bible teaches us to be kind and compassionate to others, but also to be wise in our actions and decisions. In Galatians 6:9, it says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” This verse encourages us to continue doing good, even if it means helping those who are working hard to better themselves.

In conclusion, it is important to surround ourselves with people who take responsibility for their lives, learn from their mistakes, and seek knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. By doing so, we become wise and grow in our personal development. On the other hand, we should avoid those who do not take responsibility for their lives, ignore their mistakes, and lack wisdom and knowledge. Finally, we should not bother to give aid to the lazy, but instead encourage and support those who are working hard to better themselves and their lives.
