TODAYS

You don’t need to walk alone.

Strengthening my faith in God

"Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1, KJV)

When I was young, I remember that every time my dad would promise us something, we would be excited, and we thanked him for it even before we received it. When we ask God for something by faith, we can believe that He will bring it to pass. We become excited and wait in anticipation of the fulfilment.

Here's another true story. A long time ago, my dad told my sister, who was five years old then that he would get her a red bicycle for her birthday. Hearing this, my sister was so excited, she jumped for joy and said: "Oh, thank you, daddy, thank you!". Even though he had not bought the bicycle yet, she believed him, and she rejoiced as though she already had it. On her birthday, there stood on our front porch, the red bicycle!

Conclusion

Faith believes that we have it before we do. In times where our situation might be challenging, we need to strengthen our faith. Let's believe God for a turnaround of things only to get better. I start by envisioning that which I'm hoping for in my mind, and I write it down in my journal. As I pray over it, I rejoice and give thanks to God for what is to come. Even though I do not have it yet, I believe God is working on it.

Action:

What would you like to believe God for in your life? Write it down as specific and detailed as you can.

Let's pray:

Dear Lord, I submit this area of my life before You. I know You will work things out for me. I trust in You. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
