So don’t lose the courage that you had in the past. Your courage will be rewarded richly. You must be patient. After you have done what God wants, you will get what he promised you. Hebrews 10:35-36 (ERV)
When soldiers are on the battlefield, one of their duties to the country is to protect and defend it. One of their goals to the fellow soldiers is to keep each other alive. Confronting enemies who hold a similar view would mean, either they survive or the enemy. One would live while the other may die. Holding on to courage and determined to fight and return to their family is a no brainer.
Your journey of faith may not lead to such intensity of physical life or death situation. However, courage and determination to continue in the race would result in unexpected blessings of God’s promises to you and your descendants. Some of you may get to taste a portion of His promises, but remember, God’s grace and mercy to a thousand generations. Therefore, rejoice in the Lord always and stay the course. Think long term and live as though you had already received His promises. Act now! Live and present God-given talents as your professional service to His other children, as well as to the world. By doing so, you may stand before kings and leaders. Let them be impressed by God’s wisdom and grace through the way you serve in those talents and giftings.
Courage and determination to continue in the race would result in unexpected blessings of God’s promises to you and your descendants.
A Prayer for Today:
Dear God, thank You for a gentle reminder. Even though life may seem harsh and full of challenges, I would remain blessed because of courage and determination to stay the course. Your promises to me are when I do Your will and fulfil that which You assigned me to do, I will get that which You’d promised me. Thank you, Jesus. Amen!
