TODAYS

You don’t need to walk alone.

‘Source of’ Blessing

I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. (Genesis 12:2, NKJV)

Before you could ask God for blessings, it is already on His heart to bless you. More than bestowing blessings upon you with all that is within Him, he intends to turn you into a source of blessing.

When God first spoke to Abram, He told him that, “I will bless you and make your name great, and you shall be a blessing.” The word—blessing in Hebrews means ‘source of’ blessing. It makes sense now because, through Abram, a nation was born. He became the first chosen man to carry a covenant with God. With such favour of God upon his life, blessings followed him and eventually flowed through him.

I want to encourage you, especially if you think you are going through a challenging phase in your life. You may think blessings have left you and probably feel nothing is going right in your life. Perhaps, you perceived you are good-for-nothing and a professional failure because your loved ones look down on you. Here is the truth, forces around you are fearful of you. They are afraid when you discover the original intention of God for your life. Therefore, your enemies are working very hard to discourage you and to blind you for realising that, God had already appointed you to be a ’source of’ blessing. Therefore, stand on your feet. Rise to the Lord and live out the calling He had placed upon your life—’source of’ blessing!

Let us pray:

Dear God, thank You for Your love and grace upon my life. Today I stand in Christ’s righteousness and humbly acknowledge the title which You have placed on my life—‘source of’ blessing. I’m grateful because You believe in me. In fact, among many friends and family, You do continuously think that I am predestined to do great and mighty things. I shall rise and fulfil Your will for my generation. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen!
