TODAYS

You don’t need to walk alone.

Sit Back and Relax

I’ll crush Assyria on my land. I’ll trample it underfoot on my mountains. Then its yoke will be removed from my people, and its burden will be removed from their shoulders.” Isaiah 14:25 (GW)

Have you ever felt the heaviness of this life sitting on your shoulders? Worries. Anxieties. Stress. Fear of not able to provide for your family. Troubling thoughts at work. You are struggling to meet sales target. Perhaps loved ones are fighting against a terminal illness, and you don’t have an answer to it. Standing at a crossroad of life and you are about to make a significant decision. Tensions seem to pile up day by day. The oppressive forces that are beyond your control overpowering your community, city and country.

No doubt these are a heavy burden and sturdy yoke placed on your shoulders but remember the Lord your God, He is ever ready to take on your weight. A time will come when He will remove the yoke and burden off you. He says to you, “Come to me, all who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Place my yoke over your shoulders, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble. Then you will find rest for yourselves because my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 (GW)

Here is my encouragement to you; enjoy this partnership with the Lord. While He is taking over most of the weight, learn to find rest in Him. Also, learn the way He manages these troublesome issues. It is during such situations one learns wisdom and grow in maturity. Sit back and relax. God wants to free you from all these things. He wants you to rise and not get pressed down. He likes you to be as wise a ruler as Himself. Take this cycle of the year and learn from Him.

God is ever ready to take on your weight. A time will come when He will remove the yoke and burden off you.

A Prayer for Today:

Hallelujah! Our God reigns supreme, and He is wise; powerful in every way. I speak to my mind; soul and body to come into alignment with the Holy Spirit who lives in me. I will sit back and relax and study the way He manages and manoeuvres through challenging moments in this life. I am rising above all storms. Right now, I’m passing over the yoke on my shoulders to my Lord Jesus. I submit myself to Him in Jesus’ name. Amen!
