I woke up early last Tuesday morning, and I felt an urgency to start preparing for the year 2020. It's six months until a new year. During my morning prayer, I saw a vision of a harvest field, and felt that 2020 is going to be a year of harvest! I am excited to see the result that we are about to reap. There is nothing we can harvest from barren land, and so we need to start ploughing the soil and sow seeds. We can plant seeds into our family, our career, our health and in areas which we want to reap a harvest.

How do we sow seeds into our family? There are many types of seeds — for example, Relational Seeds to strengthen bonds between parents and children or in a marriage. Seeds to build family spirituality, to raise Godly children, to develop healthy habits and anything we want to see blossom in the coming year. These seeds are a first step in moving forward to 'plough the land' and 'sow' into a great harvest. To 'sow' the 'seeds' is to put into action in place, step by step towards healthier family life.

I begin with sowing seeds of prayer. Every morning, I say a prayer for each member of my family. As I pray, God gives me strategies and ideas on how to love each child, connect with them and help them improve. I take the ideas and turn them into action. I take one step at a time. My husband calls it "the power of doing my 1% every day".
What do you desire to see in your family? What areas can be improved? What is the first action that you can take to make it happen? Begin with the one thing we can do. Doing our 1% each day, it will snowball, and we will see a great result.
