TODAYS

You don’t need to walk alone.

Pursuing Christlikeness

Whoever pursues righteousness and mercy will find life, righteousness, and honour. (Proverbs 21:21, GW)

Remind yourself as often as you can to work out a faith-filled attitude. Above all these mental and character buildings, determine to pursue Christlikeness–righteousness and mercy.

Human’s minds were created to hold one thought at a time. The mind is either busy attending to problem-solving or worrying over theoretical issues. The soul either entertains positive or negative memories.

How do you manage your thoughts?

In this verse lies a great promise and wise-saying. Indeed, whoever runs after righteousness and mercy guaranteed to find life, justice, and honour. You have to choose what you want to run after—life-giving ideas or thoughts which will trap you in anxiety. Would you instead pursue righteousness and mercy or injustice and bitterness? The choice is yours to decide.

Nobody in this lifetime can ever escape troubles and calamities. You can choose to live carefully, but there is no guarantee you had avoided troubling thoughts. So it is only wise when you train your mind to think the right thing. Remind yourself as often as you can to work out a faith-filled attitude. Above all these mental and character buildings, determine to pursue Christlikeness–righteousness and mercy.

May the force of His presence be with you.

Let us pray:

Dear God, I thank You for allowing Jesus to stand in the gap between death and life; sin and holiness; wickedness and righteousness. Above all things, You made Him my righteousness. I know deep within me that, I can never be perfect and righteous, but because of Jesus, it is now possible. Today, I sincerely ask for Your grace to be upon me. Help me pursue righteousness and mercy. Holy Spirit, teach me to manage my thoughts. Instil within me, Your holiness. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen!
