TODAYS

You don’t need to walk alone.

Living Forward

Forget what happened in the past, and do not dwell on events from long ago. Isaiah 43:18 (GW)

Have you tried driving backwards instead of forward? It doesn’t feel right and makes no sense. Your head and visual focus would feel disoriented. That’s normal because you are not meant to run or drive backwards.

Have you come across people who continuously live a life focusing on the events of the past? Such as regrets about decisions made or supposed to make. Letting go of an opportunity for an exchange of something else; as a result, they felt it was the biggest mistake in life. Cripple by specific trauma and running over by fear continuously. They are like driving or running backwards. It can be harsh and detrimental to one’s health.

Scripture advises us to forget the things and events of the past. To move forward, we are to let go. Although we can’t erase memories of the past, we can exercise self-control and manage our current focus. We could practice mindfulness and be present. When we learn to stay in the present moment, the higher chance we stand to witness the current moves of the Lord. Getting stuck in past happenings and allowing our minds saturated by the events of the past will hinder us, blind our eyes on the current power and glory of the Lord.

To move forward, we are to let go. When we learn to stay in the present moment, the higher chance we stand to witness the current moves of the Lord.

Let us pray:

Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender the past happening and events of long ago to You. They may remain in my memory, but they do not influence me. Today I made up my mind to focus on You. You are doing great and beautiful things in my life. You want to partner with me and manifest power, wisdom and glory to my loved one, family and my connections. My mind and eyes are on You alone. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
