Kingdom Living

Our bodies have many parts, but these parts don’t all do the same thing. In the same way, even though we are many individuals, Christ makes us one body and individuals who are connected to each other. Romans 12:4-5 (GW)

One of the most satisfying things for me as a father is to see my children grow into God predestined potential for them. As they are maturing day by day, they begin to show more initiative, take up additional responsibilities, show forth the God-given talents and gifts to assist within the family. As a father, I’m very proud of them; it is one of the best things that happen to me. As a family, we are finding our expression to make our family, a family.

Our heavenly Father would feel likewise when His earthly children get together in maturity, showing love and kindness towards each other. Father God assigned Jesus Christ to be in human form so to reteach us Kingdom Living. The process may sound complicated, but in fact, it is straightforward and achievable.

Here are three pointers to live in harmony so to effectively demonstrate Kingdom Living:

  1. Admit to one another that we are different from each other. We all have different talents, gifts, strengths, and weaknesses. We are uniquely designed to glorify God only if we realized we need each other.
  2. Aim to connect, to engage with one another on a heart level, not from an intellectual angle. Sincere hearts are like glues, which would bind the hearts and souls of men and women.
  3. Appreciate one another’s God-given uniqueness and learn to accept one another. Encourage cultures such as agree to disagree; the openness of views and opinions — to grow; learn and develop the family/body of Christ. By doing so, we could administer and advance the Kingdom of God most creatively and effectively.

A Prayer for Today:

Dearest Father, I thank you for my beautiful family, my wife and children. They are the best gifts You’d given me on a personal level. Also, I am deeply blessed and encouraged to have an excellent spiritual family, a community of believers of Christ whom You connect me to. I genuinely enjoy being with them. I pray for Your goodness, blessing to be upon them; on their spouse, children and loved ones. In Jesus’ name and all of God’s people say…
