That is why I want you to remember the gift God gave you. God gave you that gift when I laid my hands on you. Now I want you to use that gift and let it grow more and more, like a small flame grows into a fire. (2 Timothy 1:6, ERV)
When my family moved into our current house in Donvale, I laid my eyes on a wild plant in the backyard. Somehow it caught my attention. My interest in it grew day-by-day. So I’ve decided to put efforts and adopted it. This plant is blooming beautifully like a bonsai plant this spring. Recently I transplanted it into a pot and continue to help it grow. It’s satisfying to see its development.
Like young Timothy, you were given many gifts by God. It is God’s interest and desire to help you grow more and more so that these gifts would be assets in this lifetime, to help you succeed in the purposes of God. Keep asking God for wisdom and understanding as you grow these gifts. Continue to serve God’s other children with them. By so doing, these young gifts will grow from small flames into a fire.

Dearest Holy Spirit, thank You for blessing me with gifts. Help me identify, comprehend and apply them in my day-to-day schedules. I believe I will become a professional in using them, and soon, lives would be blessed, and lips could praise and glorify Your name. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen!
