“The Lord’s loved ones will lie down in safety because the Most High protects them all day long. The ones he loves rest between his shoulders.” Deuteronomy 33:12 (EXB)
It’s human nature to worry; to feel troubled and get wraps up with anxiety. There are too many reasons for us to feel disturbed by the events of life. Regardless of these emotions and thoughts, God will give His beloved rest.
The Lord Most High has your back. His eye is on you 24/7, including when you are asleep. He wants you to sleep well because resting in His presence is one of your privileges. Rest is a big deal in God for it speaks of placing your life in His hands. When you are resting, it merely implies that you are putting your confidence in Him. You trust Him to keep you and your loved ones in safety.
God carries you on His shoulders while you are at rest. He is taking over all of your concerns, responsibilities and is now in control. So, you may go to bed. Take a rest in His presence. Trust the Lord that He will take care of the rest.
When you are resting, it merely implies that you are putting your confidence in Him.
A Prayer for Today:
Dear God, I find relief in You. Starting from tonight, I can find rest in Your arms. Deep in me, I know that I do not need to carry my worries and anxieties to bed. I can leave them out of my subconscious mind. I can surrender them into Your hands. Hallelujah! Thank you for watching over me. I love You, longtime. In Jesus’ name, I pray and let all of God’s people say, amen!!!
