God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. (James 1:12, NLT)
We are all in this together! Due to COVID-19, the whole world is now facing a great challenge and pressure. It is as though humanity suddenly is put on trial. We are sitting in an examination room, facing various types of trials and tests. It is scary to think about food rationing. How about the unemployment rate skyrocketed overnight? Millions would lose their jobs! It is real and frightening!!!
I wish to encourage all of us to cling on to God’s word. He blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Some may ask, what sorts of temptation in turbulent time? To my wild guess, some would blame God for all that is happening around the world. Some probably would curse God. Others may give up hope or lose their sanity. All these could potentially be temptations to tear our faith in Christ, to lure us into rejecting the Holy Spirit.
I strongly encourage my readers to place our trust in the living God (I am speaking to myself too). When all these come to an end, we will receive the crown of life which God Himself has promised to those who love Him. Be strong and fill yourself up with courage. Keep praying in the Spirit for He knows what you need and how you should pray.
Before I end this post, I hope to share a short story. Recent few Saturdays at TODAYS House of Worship, the presence and the anointing of the Holy Spirit is strong and undeniable. The church experienced a tangible presence of God, and some of us heard angels worshipping in our midst. A few began to experience supernatural phenomena in their life. In a turbulent time, when darkness seems to increase day-by-day, we ought to pray and believe for a surge of His power and glory!
The darkest the day, the greater Your glory and power!
Let us pray:
Dearest Holy Spirit, in turbulent times like this, I made up my mind to praise You! I will rejoice even more because rejoicing during testing and temptation is the right thing to do. It is a thing of faith and evidence that God is with me. It is a demonstration that God is real! It is a sign that God is at work in my life. Hallelujah! The darkest the day, the greater Your glory and power! I am so thrilled because of the anointing presence and the power of the Holy Spirit lingering around me every day! Awesome God!!! In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen!!!
