TODAYS

You don’t need to walk alone.

Divine provision amid drought season

For it was I, the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it with good things.

(Psalm 81:10, NLT)

Drought or famine frequently found in the Bible, especially throughout the Old Testament. Whether it was during the Patriarch’s era or Priesthood, one common thing took place amid drought season is divine provision. It is also a norm that, in such a season, God would instruct those He appointed to experience the outpouring of His grace, power, glory, even transference of wealth!

What is your current position in this global pandemic season? How are you experiencing God’s provision? I have real-life stories to tell, and if you are interested, READ ON.

I know of a few friends who are experiencing God’s grace in this season. When things are tough, financial crises escalate, while thousands have lost their jobs, businesses are being hit to the point of shutting down–facing bankruptcy, these few believing Christians received divine provisions! One of them profited more than double the amount from investments. Another had her contract job extended while a few colleagues laid off from their permanent position! Have a few others gotten their current job weeks before global pandemic made official, and guess what? These jobs fall in the essential service industry. Yeap! Their incomes are not at all affected.

What’s going on? You probably wonder! Such a divine favour and provisions are not new phenomena. It happened before, and it’s happening today! Will it happen in the near future? Absolutely YES!

While I’m writing this post, the World Health Organization just announced that the COVID-19 pandemic is ‘accelerating’, in ‘new and dangerous phase’. What does it implies and how would the economy of nations be impacted? What could you do as a believing Christian?

I want to encourage you to keep placing your hope and faith in the Lord Jesus. Learn to pray more. Cultivate an even closer relationship with the Holy Spirit. If you ever need Him, this season is it. Also, it’s been a few weeks since my heartfelt prompt that the coming season could potentially be a season of signs and wonders! Unlike any other, you might carry the anointing of the Holy Spirit to administer supernatural healing. But remember to place your heart and mind in the Person of the Holy Spirit.

Watch and pray and accompany Him!

Scripture reading: 2 Kings 4:1-7

Let us pray

Dear God, thank You for faithfully watching over me, and my loved ones. And You’ve been supernaturally providing for our day-to-day needs. I am confident that You will see us through amid the epidemic season. I shall have more than enough, instead of lack. I firmly believe for a turnaround when things are getting more stringent in the natural; Your supernatural power will penetrate through it all. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen!
