A Meaningful Christmas 2020, Week 1: Rejoice

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Philippians 4:4

Christmas week is finally here! Rejoice! The bible says, ‘Rejoice in the Lord always.’ In every situation, we can learn to rejoice in the Lord. Always means at all times, on every occasion, and in all circumstances. Even in these challenging times, let us learn to rejoice and celebrate God’s love and gift to humanity.

Rejoice in our ups and downs. In the toughest of times, let us try to focus on God’s promises and wear a smile. We can rejoice because God takes care of us. There are a few things we can do to remind ourselves to ‘rejoice in the Lord’.

First: is to be grateful. Gratefulness keeps us grounded in that which we have, and we can be thankful for the many things we might have taken for granted. We can be grateful to God for His protection, His saving grace, His love, kindness, and so much more.

Gratefulness keeps us grounded in that which we have, and we can be thankful for the many things we might have taken for granted.

Another simple step to rejoice is to wear a smile. It is so simple plus it is free! No tools, no gears, nor training is required. All it takes is a little effort to smile at someone. Look around you, and share a smile today! Give a smile to your family and friends. It is so liberating when we smile because a smile can brighten up the day. A smile can turn into laughter. Let us spread some Christmas cheer.

Last but not least, play a happy tune or song. Set the mood for happiness. If you are feeling down, play some carefree music. It will help to lighten up the atmosphere. It doesn’t cost to play a song or sing a song. Play some Christmas carols, and that will get you into the season of Christmas.

I hope these simple tips are helpful to brighten up your day and lift your spirits! Right now, this is a celebration week! Let us sing some carols, give some gifts, and share a smile. ‘Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, rejoice!’

Let’s celebrate A Meaningful Christmas this year and have a very merry Christmas with loved ones.
